# ALVIREQ

> ALVIREQ is a self-hosted AI agent workspace for small and mid-sized organisations. Its agents carry out multi-step office work (email triage, reporting, research, CRM and finance chores) across connected systems, record every step in a readable run log, and stop for a human decision before anything consequential happens.

ALVIREQ is deployed per organisation, in a Swiss or EU data centre. It is model-agnostic: Claude through Anthropic's API, open models hosted in Switzerland by Infomaniak AI Services, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, including local models.

## What ALVIREQ does

- Chat with agents that use tools: workspace files, web search and browsing, data queries over CSV/JSON, knowledge base search, memory, scheduling, and admin-approved MCP servers.
- Memory and recall: ALVIREQ remembers preferences, business terms, rules and metrics, and can search past conversations.
- Knowledge base: document collections (PDF, DOCX, Markdown, HTML, text), private or shared with roles.
- Playbooks: reusable, parameterised instructions for recurring tasks.
- Automation: scheduled tasks (presets or cron, per-user timezone), signed webhooks, a background task queue and notifications.
- Conversations: folders, pins, full-text search, read-only share links, PDF export, locking and a trash with restore.
- Personalization: display name, default model, response language, timezone, base style, characteristics and custom instructions.

## Governance

- Approval gates: consequential tool calls (sending, writing, deleting) pause until a person approves; unattended runs decline them and explain why.
- Audit log: tool calls, approvals, sign-ins and administrative changes are recorded.
- Untrusted content: web pages, emails and documents are labelled as untrusted input so instructions inside them are treated as data.
- Isolation: each user's files, memories and conversations are private to them; credentials are encrypted at rest.
- Hosting and models are the customer's choice.
